Ingredients:

  • Rice
  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Garlic cloves, minced
  • Ginger, sliced
  • Cilantro roots or stems, crushed
  • White pepper powder
  • Fish sauce
  • Chicken or shrimp broth
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice and cook it with chicken or shrimp broth until it’s soft and porridge-like in consistency.
  2. In a separate pot, bring the shrimp broth to a simmer and add minced garlic, sliced ginger, crushed cilantro roots or stems, and white pepper powder.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the simmering broth and cook until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Season the broth with fish sauce to taste.
